Shakespear Regional Park
Part 1
Whangaparaoa, which means "Bay of whales" in Maori, is a seaside town on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, 30 minutes north of Auckland. Whangaparaoa is regarded as the start of the coastline known as the Hibiscus Coast. The Whangaparaoa peninsula stretches for 11 kilometres into the Hauraki Gulf with Shakespear Regional Park at the end of the peninsula. The park is 929 acres with beaches, picnic areas, camping facilities, mountain biking tracks, bush walking tracks, native birds and Hauraki Gulf lookouts. The pictures that follow were taken at Te Haruhi Bay.
